Handbuilding in Clay
5 week class. Beginners welcome.

This is the perfect class for the beginner who wants to learn to create bowls, dishes, vases, and small sculpture using the pinch, coil and slab hand building techniques. Experienced hand builders also welcome. We will create basic forms using hand building and then discuss how to add a personal touch using sculpting, alteration, painting, slip, stains, sgraffito, and more.
Your class fee provides one bag of clay, firing, glazing and open studio in the duration of the class.

Jina Kim is an artist from South Korea who is currently living in Jackson, Wyoming, USA. She started painting when she was a very little girl. She always knew that she was fated to be an artist since then.
The journey of her art career started at last in 2010 after she graduated college, where she majored in Ceramic Art and Fashion Design. She started developing her own style of painting, the 'Colorfreak series.' This series led to Jina starting her 'Colorfreak world' after her travels and research into tribal art and patterns.
After she got married, she immigrated to the United States and launched her art career in Jackson WY, where she began to create paintings based on inspiration from Native American art and patterns and Western landscapes, which she has now integrated into her style. Jina's website
