Drawing, Painting & Printmaking Studio
Learn the processes involved in serigraphy, or screen printing, from image design to final prints. This class will introduce the medium's history, studio equipment, and the steps to successfully translate your own design onto screens that can then be printed on various surfaces.
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where I spent most of my time playing in the woods and learned to love both art and nature. I attended school at UW-Madison and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Environmental Studies before moving to the Tetons full time in May 2017. Through photography and silk-screen printmaking, I capture stories and inspire people to consider their relationship with nature. My photographic work is dominated by wild, expansive landscapes and the experience of exploring the great outdoors. Threatened and endangered spaces, places, and species take center stage in my printmaking work. Both my photographs and prints are rich in color and texture, giving viewers an opportunity to immerse themselves in a slice of time, place, and wildness. I am passionate about exploring, story telling, the natural world, conservation, and teaching! katiecooneyphotography.com
