VISITING ARTIST WORKSHOP
Engineer, Invent, Explore!

Monica & Tyler Aiello

Course Description

Engineer, Invent, Explore! fuses scientific inquiry with interactive 2D & 3D projects, all within a cultural perspective. Campers will explore history, engineering, physics, architecture, and sculpture – taking a hands-on approach to how our world, and the universe, works. Through the course of the camp, students will gain a broader perspective of history, civilization and earth’s celestial neighborhood. Projects include building wooden sculptures, pocket sun dials, catapults, rockets, simple machines, printmaking and jewelry.

Instructor

Visiting Artists Tyler and Monica Aiello return for their third summer at the Art Association to teach their popular summer camps.  Much more than an art camp, Da Vinci Club is a robust and immersive interdisciplinary learning environment.  Students have a blast making creative art projects while seamlessly gaining foundations in planetary science, geology, history, physics, architecture and engineering.
