Houda joins our staff for painting with watercolor and drawing in pastel, charcoal, and colored pencil in the field! Our teachers will discuss and demonstrate the elements of light, shadow, line, and color as they appear in the landscape. In addition to painting and drawing, students will engage in creating land art using natural found materials similar to environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy. This class is taught entirely outdoors so be sure to bring a backpack with lunch, bug repellent, sunscreen, a jacket, water bottle, and sun hat. Contact us for more information and detailed directions to locations. In the event of bad weather, locations may change or a make-up day will be scheduled for Friday.
