Imagine designing and printing multiples of textiles you can actually wear and to brighten up your walls at home. Join us for an exciting week of endless experimentation in design, dyeing and printing on paper and fabric. Learn the essentials for creating cool abstracted block designs to use as you wish and how to silk-screen start to finish. Towards the end of the week students will have the option to share blocks and screens with each other in order to create their own unique "quilted" collaborative tapestry to take home.
NO CLASS ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
Born on Cape Cod, raised in northern New Jersey by a cabinetmaker and a jeweler, Ellen was exposed to a creative environment from a young age. She graduated with honors with a BA in Art & Art History and Psychology from St. Lawrence University in 2016. When she is not taking photographs or printing abstract prints, Ellen enjoys romping around the mountains on her bike and skis.
