Come and join the Art Association of Jackson Hole for a talk with Art in Translation guest artist, Verónica Gerber Bicecci.

Gerber lives and works in Mexico City. She is a visual artist who writes. She has participated in the interdisciplinary residencies of IMO International Arts Center (USA), Ucross Foundation (USA), Santa Maddalena (Italy) and the Sommerakademie im Zentrum Paul Klee (Switzerland). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the ENPEG, La Esmeralda, and received a Masters in Art History from the UNAM. In 2013 she won the III International Aura Estrada literature and in 2014 an honorable mention in the National Prize Of Essay on Photography. She has taught workshops in visual writing, abstract writing and mural writing in various cultural institutions of the Mexican Republic, as well as the subjects of theory of art and drawing in programs of
 Superior artistic education. She is editor in the cooperative Tumbona Ediciones, whose catalog explores the crosses between literature and art, and tutor of the Seminar
Of Photographic Production of the Centro de la Imagen.

Collaborating with Patti Rocha, Bicecci presents for Art in Translation a radio program in both English and Spanish that combines both visual and performance pieces to highlight the experience of similar stories being told in both English and in Spanish.
