Deborah Butterfield
Artspace Gallery: September 1 - October 27, 2006
The Art Association is proud to present the artwork of internationally acclaimed Montana sculptor, Deborah Butterfield. This exhibit offers a sampling of Butterfield’s art consisting of 6 magnificent horse sculptures that just completed a 3 –year national exhibition tour. Butterfield has exhibited all across the United States and in Europe. Her work is widely collected by private individuals and museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Museum and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She is arguably the most important female sculptor working today.

Love, Loss and Longing The Impact of U.S. Travel Policy on Cuban- American Families
Artspace Center Lobby: September 26 – October 8
Families kept apart is the theme of this photo essay by Washington DC photographer, Vincent Hernandez. Vincent photographed 20 Cuban-American families who have been unable to travel to Cuba under the new regulations governing family travel. His limages will be displayed along with personal testimonials prepared by Jeanne Lemka and David Strug, two social scientists who have been studying the effects of U.S. policies on Cuban American Families. This photo exhibit will be the third joint project of the Wyoming Cuba Society and the Art Association.

Arnold Newman One World, One People
Artspace Gallery: June 2 - August 25, 2006
Arnold Newman's vast and influential career has produced photographs of some of the most important people to walk the planet. Artspace is proud to exhibit this traveling collection, One World, One People, from the Jewish Museum of Florida, featuring 40 portraits of porminent Jewish figures, including Woody Allen ( at left), Leonard Bernstein, and others.

Verisimilitude Photographs By Khristen Walker

Verisimilitude refers to an exploration of photography as a representation of the truth. According to the artist: "I think that in a society such as ours, wherein we are taught from a very early age to only allot meaning and value to things which are real, it is important to step back from the imagery of our everyday lives and realize that some narratives are worth believing in regardless of whether they are real or not."

Art lovers and bargain seekers take note, Artspace presents an event and art exhibition with a twist. Artists from all over the country create postcard size works of art and sign the piece on the back. The identity of the artist is only revealed after purchase. Nude Adrift Photographs from Seven Continents By Spencer Tunick

Spencer Tunick has been documenting the live nude figure in public, with both photography and video since 1992. His temporary, site-related installations combine sculpture, performance and land art and often encompass thousands of nude volunteers, grouped together in public spaces. The photographs in the gallery are from his portfolio Nude Adrift, portraits taken of the human form on all seven continents.
