The Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections
Artspace Main Gallery: November 17 - January 26, 2007
“Apron Chronicles” is a collection of more than 200 vintage aprons and a series of 40 stories and photos that appear with them. Project writer and apron curator EllynAnne Geisel and photographer Kristina Loggia have utilized the apron as a symbol immediately recognized by everyone to create an exhibit that is ultimately much more about life than fabric. With honestly striking images and engaging text, Geisel and Loggia present portraits of a generation of women whose stories oar in danger of becoming extinct.
