HANDBUILDING CLAY VESSELS AND SURFACE TECHNIQUES

This is the perfect 5-week class for the beginner who wants to learn to create bowls, dishes, vases, and small sculpture using the pinch, coil and slab hand building techniques.
April 13 - May 18
In this 6-week class, students will continue expanding their tool-box of techniques for creating forms on the potter’s wheel; from throwing more efficiently, lidded dishes, platters, slip and underglaze decoration and finishing with glaze decoration.

Tapestry weaving is an ancient weave structure used by many cultures to create fabrics for clothing, furniture, and wall hangings. In this 4 week class we will weave on frame looms, learn to plan and design a tapestry project and realize your personal visions in fiber.
