Drawing, Painting & Printmaking Studio

Our 1,750 square foot drawing, painting, and printmaking studio is located on the third floor of the Center for the Arts. This spacious studio has high ceilings, two large-scale skylights and two sinks with traps.

 

The studio is equipped with easels, tables, drawing horses, lighting fixtures, newsprint, matte board cutters, dry mount presses, cleaning materials and limited storage for canvases and works on paper.

Our printmaking area includes a Takach press with a 48”x24” bed, a 38”x30” exposure unit, a 24”x24” copper etching tank, T-shirt screenprinting station, and various printmaking tools/materials for woodcut to Solarplate.

No Instruction. $10 drop-in.
EVERY WEDNESDAY 6pm-9pm
Join fellow artists in this weekly Wednesday evening live open studio. This period offers the participant fine art time to draw, paint or sculpt from a live nude model. Any medium allowed.

PORTRAIT DRAWING
No Instruction. $10 drop-in.
EVERY FRIDAY 9am-12pm
Join fellow artists in this weekly Friday morning portrait open studio. This period offers the participant time to draw, paint or sculpt portraits from a live clothed model. Any medium allowed.
