Jewelry Making with Uncommon Materials

Feel free to bring and other Fimo colors that you would like to use, recycled materials, and whatever you think might add to the mix to make interesting jewelry.
Make jewelry with striking, interesting, and unusual elements! We will go over how to melt and use plastics safely, resins, and Fimo clay with added embellishments (little metal beads, glitter, etc.), and how to apply color and metal sheens to Fimo once it's baked. We'll also experiment with wood, unusual recycled metals, fur, fake flowers, and different methods of wrapping cord with fabric and how to make unusual chains.You'll learn the differences between recyclable plastics, and which are safe to work with, how to work with composite metal, how to bake Fimo, and the ways that you can alter its surface for cool effects, how to wrap cord, and different ways of thinking "outside of the box" to make chains. Materials are included and are black, brown, white and silver Fimo and tubes of composite metal.
