Borshell Children’s Studio

The Borshell Children's Studio is located on the third floor of the Center for the Arts. Take the elevator or stairs to the third floor - the children's studio is in the corner next to the A!A administration offices.

Our youth art programs encourage creativity and self expression through supervised art exploration in a safe and supportive environment. In each program, our professional and caring instructors give individual instruction working on projects within the students' capacity and at an age appropriate level. In order to ensure a positive and successful experience, we ask that caregivers please abide by the age requirements listed for each class or program.




Drop Off Time 9 – 9:15 am in a specified studio for your child’s camp. Please, do not drop off children before 9 am. Our staff is not available before 8:45 am and cannot be responsible for supervision before 9 am. Please accompany your child to his/her classroom to sign-in.

Pick Up Time is 3:00 pm. If you need to pick up your child earlier, please make prior arrangements with camp staff.  Your child must be signed out at pick-up.


Children should dress appropriately for art projects. Many classes use dyes, inks, or paints that may stain hands and clothing. Dress your child in old clothing or send an apron/work shirt, as the Association cannot be responsible for clothing damaged in the art class. Weather permitting, there will be breaks and projects outside including supervised lunch and play at Phil Baux or Miller Park. Your child must be equipped with: sunscreen, appropriate clothing for outside-including recommended shoes for walking (closed toe and supportive), an ample and nutritious lunch, additional snacks, and a water bottle.


Are you looking for a unique, exciting, and inspiring birthday activity for that special day?  We provide the teacher, materials, and hands-on art activity with professional supervision.  You provide the kids dressed for a mess, your own refreshments, cake, decorations, and supervision for the last 30 minutes of the party. Planning, setup, and cleanup are on us!  All party guests will leave with a memorable masterpiece to treasure!

1-6 children: $200 ($240 non-members)

7 - 12 children: $240 ($288 non-members)

13 - 18 children: $324 ($388 non-members)

Rental Includes: A 90 minute art experience followed by 30 minutes for dessert, presents, and fun!

There are many popular themes available. We will work with you on the party theme and specific projects for your special group.
