In this class each student will learn to take their measurements and translate those measurements into a flat paper pattern. The paper pattern will be used to make a muslin (an inexpensive cotton fabric used by designers) mock-up version of the basic A-line skirt. This class is oriented to for all genders. An A-line skirt is a basic pattern that can be manipulated in a number of ways in which we will discuss in class.
Please bring your functioning sewing machine and knowledge of how it works. Basic sewing skills are needed for this class. The instructor will have muslin and other basic sewing supplies for sale.
