Wax Carving & Silver Casting
Students should have taken Intro to Silver prior

Carving a wax model is the primary skill needed to produce a “Lost Wax” casting in silver. Through demonstration and hands on exercises, students will learn how to use tools and techniques to create a wax model suitable for casting. The course will include casting a wax model and learning proper techniques to create a finished piece of jewelry. This course is suitable for a beginner or an intermediate jeweler looking to expand their skills.
Additional material fees will be charged for this class based on individual usage, estimate. $20 - $75.
Jen McNaughton has lived in Wyoming on and off since 2000. She attended Michigan State University where she received a BA in English. She has always supported and participated in the arts but her interest metal smithing came together with the help of the fabulous teachers here at the Art Association over the past several years.
