The Avery Mathieu Scholarship

Eliza Mathieu began the financial assistance program following the tragic death of her son. Ms Mathieu was the Chair of the Board at the art Association in 2003 when her son Avery died in a car accident. She initiated the Scholarship Fund with the funds she had saved for his college education.

Judie Schmidlapp Scholarship Fund

In 2014, several of Judie Schmidlapp’s closest friends generously donated to the Art Association to create a scholarship fund in her name. Judie was a tireless advocate for visual arts education in our community and served on the Art Association board from 2009-2012. The Judie Schmidlapp Scholarship fund is a way to honor her vision by ensuring that learning visual arts is possible for people of all ages and abilities.

Harriet Minczeski Memorial / Art Association Scholarship

The Harriet Minczeski Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a talented local High School Senior who plans to pursue visual arts in college. Harriet Minczeski was an educator, interior designer, painter, and member of the Art Association. She was a great influence on those young and old and adored by all who met her. The Harris family created this annual scholarship to honor and remember Harriet.
